Philosophy statement of intent
At Lakeside we have three main aims:
- Providing great care and facilities
- Employing passionate and dedicated people
- Develop our team with training and personal development coaching
Lakeside has developed our working practices around understanding the often sensitive and emotional aspect of entrusting us with your care or the care of a loved one.
We believe that care and dignity come hand in hand and recognize that everyone has different needs. We will ensure you have help and support whilst maintaining as much independence as possible.
You will always be treated with respect and we will do all we can to preserve your dignity.
Family and friends are welcome to visit at any time and we encourage individuals to be as sociable as possible, providing areas they feel at home and comfortable in.
Our empathies are on a flexible, quality, personalized, individual care and providing support by a skilled, firendly team.
Louise will carry out an initial assessment followed by a person centered care plan tailored to the individuals specific needs. Taking into account a holistic approach which identifies physical, psychological, social, emotional and spiritual needs. This ensures the individual receives all the care and support they need to live as independently as possible within the home. The care plan is written up with the resident and or family or if they wish, an advocate.
Each resident is allocated a member of care staff to act as keyworker. This keyworker will work with them to ensure their care plans are monitored and reviewed regularly.
At Lakeside we work very closely with other health professionals to ensure individuals in our care receive a full package of care based on their assessed needs. We also offer support and assistance to individuals who wish to access health professional independently.
